To make the device more customizable and feature-rich, Samsung has Good Lock Modules, where you will find the Camera Assistant. This advanced feature helps you manage camera settings according to your preferences. It gives users more control over the camera and allows them to use the Galaxy’s powerful camera module.

With this feature, you can control what you want to prioritize, from picture speed and quality to video recording in photo mode, continuous shooting at specific intervals, and much more. This has been one of the most extraordinary things for all Galaxy users. So, without further ado, let us get into it.

  • Samsung Camera Assistant: You can install this add-on from the Good Lock app on the Life-Up page. Then, download and install Camera Assistant on your device. You can customize options that can be enabled by toggling the menu.
  • Auto HDR: This feature gives more detailed images in dark and bright environments.
  • Picture softening: This feature was recently introduced. After enabling it, your pictures will be softer and less textured than expected. To adjust the softness, you can choose a tone ranging from medium to high, according to your preference. If you don’t want this, simply disable it to get regular shots.
  • Auto-Lens Switching: The device will automatically pick the best shots based on distance to the subject, zoom, and lighting. By enabling this feature, your device will capture the best shots at the given time for you with the most suitable lens.
  • Quick-tap shutter: Enabling this feature will prevent shutter lag, as the device only captures an image once. If necessary, a photo will be taken immediately as soon as your finger touches the capture button.
  • Capture speed: Unlike quick-tap shutters, where you want speed, if you want better image quality and capture time, you can choose “Prioritise Quality” in Capture Speed or based on your preference. This will affect the speed of taking images. However, you can choose any option like “Prioritise Quality,” “Balance Speed and Quality,” or “Prioritise Speed” according to your preference.
  • Video recording in Photo Mode: This feature allows you to capture photos while video recording. To enable it, touch and hold the shutter button to record video.
  • Time Multi-Photo Option: The camera takes one photo in timer mode by default. However, with this feature enabled, you can continuously shoot at regular intervals without tapping the shutter button.
  • Camera timeout: You can choose between 1, 2, 5, or 10 minutes. If your camera remains open, it will close automatically after the timeout.
  • Dim the screen while recording: We have all faced this issue when recording video. Especially when video recording for a long time, our device gets warm. This is because our device consumes a lot of battery, but we can reduce screen brightness to reduce battery consumption, which ultimately lowers the temperature. With this feature enabled, this task is done automatically.
  • Clean preview on HDMI Display: You can view the preview on an HDMI-connected display by enabling this setting.
