5G is rapidly growing across India. Bharti Airtel has introduced an unlimited data offer for 5G customers in over 270 cities in the country. This allows its users to use the internet without worrying about data exhaustion since the company is now removing the cap on data usage across all its plans.
Both postpaid and prepaid customers with plans of Rs 239 and above can avail of this offer. To do so, users need a 5G-compatible device and should have access to a 5G network, which they can check from their app. The company said they wanted to explore their customer needs as they have ultrafast, reliable, and secure 5G+ service. Of course, the company needs to know how much data people are going to use to plan their packages.
You can simply log in to the Airtel Thanks App to claim this offer. As a result of this offer, Airtel has removed the Rs 99 prepaid plan, which means that only the Rs 155 plan is available for recharge. You will find a banner for claiming unlimited 5G data under “Manage.” It has a speed that is 30x higher than that of 4G, with the respective plan hike being ~56%. The Rs 155 prepaid recharge plan offers unlimited voice calling, 1GB of data, and 300 SMS with a validity of 24 days, along with Wynk Music and Free Hellotunes benefits.
Airtel has confirmed that it has 10 million users on its 5G network. The company has been using the NSA (non-standalone) 5G network to encourage customers to upgrade to 5th-generation wireless broadband. The Airtel Thanks app is available on both Android and iOS.This is quite a similar move to what Reliance Jio did during the 4G launch in India by giving users free access. If you have difficulty connecting to 5G, you need to open your device settings and head over to “Network and Data.” From there, tap on the Airtel SIM and enable the 5G network.
