Let’s begin by saying that there are many great smartphones you can buy, but there are also some phones you should avoid. There could be various reasons you shouldn’t buy a smartphone, including poor performance, a low-quality display, a mediocre camera, a short battery life, a lack of software updates, and more.
Let’s check out those smartphones that don’t make sense if you consider purchasing them. These days, a lot of OEMs launch a lot of smartphones, some of which are quite good value for money, but at the same time, there are a lot of smartphones that don’t justify their pricing. Without further ado, let’s check.
Samsung Galaxy A54 and A34 5G
Many people consider buying this smartphone since Samsung has a healthy option if you’re looking for a device, but this smartphone isn’t value for money. First, this device runs on an Exynos 1380 Processor, which has a track record of having problems regarding heating, performance, and else. This SoC has been criticized for performance and heating issues, making it unsuitable for us to recommend.
This device will only last you a short time if you’re a power user. If you’re looking for a smartphone under 40K, you should go for the OnePlus 11R or Vivo V27 Pro, or if you want to buy a Samsung phone, wait for the Galaxy M54 or Galaxy F54. Generally, the Samsung Galaxy A-Series has always been overpriced, and the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 5G aren’t exceptions.
Motorola G73 5G
This smartphone just launched, and many people love this series, but nowadays, Motorola needs to deliver a better smartphone, especially in this series. The company is just throwing their smartphones like Samsung is throwing Galaxy A-Series smartphones. Many people love these series, but now they don’t look worth it.
Even without the benefit of the doubt, this device doesn’t make it to our list as it comes with an IPS LCD panel, and nowadays, this device also downgraded its software experience after it started adding bloatware along with promotional notifications. Even though this device has an upgraded processor, it doesn’t justify its pricing.
If you want to buy a Motorola device, you can go for the Moto G82 5G, which comes with an OLED display panel, and the Snapdragon 695 5G. The only thing this device will lack is support, or you can buy the IQOO Z7 5G, a good smartphone with a powerful SoC, a good camera, and an in-display fingerprint.
Redmi Note 12 Series
We all remember how good Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series used to be. This device just launched in the wild. As we mentioned, we don’t like the complete series, but to be more specific, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and Pro Plus do not justify this price. Competitors are offering much better smartphones. The devices are overpriced, and they don’t offer anything that other phones in the price range don’t already provide.
As for under 30K, you are getting a MediaTek 1080 SoC. If you are wondering about the 200 MP, then it could be better optimized. If you want to buy a camera-centric smartphone, the Vivo V27 will perform much better. Nothing Phone (1), IQOO Neo 6 5G, and Realme 10 Pro+ are far better than the Redmi Note 12 Series.
Realme 10 Pro
This device doesn’t bring any upgrades over the Realme 9 Pro. The OnePlus Nord CE3 Lite is not even a good choice. You can go for the OnePlus Nord CE3 Lite during a sale.
OnePlus Nord 2T, Poco F4
We don’t want you to buy this because the successor is already coming. The OnePlus Nord 3 is coming to India, which is more powerful. Similarly, the Poco F5 is also on its way to being launched in India. You will be okay with it later if the successor brings more benefits than the predecessor.
The Best Smartphone to Buy in April 2023
These smartphones justify their pricing, as they are good smartphones you can buy for under $30,000.
Vivo V27 5G
Starting at Vivo V27 5G, this device has the best camera for this budget, but this device is missing N77, one of the most important 5G bands. Performance isn’t where the device belongs. In sales and with the bank offer, you can get this device for under $30,000.
IQOO Neo 7 and Neo 6
This is a performance-centric smartphone. This device is already leading the AnTuTu Benchmark list. Neo 7 comes with 120W fast charging. The camera is also great, but with the Neo 7, you won’t get a wide-angle lens.
Nothing Phone 1
This device still makes sense. You will have a good experience as you will get 3 years of software support. The build is also great. Even this device has reverse wireless charging support, which is rare. You won’t get a charger out of the box. So these are good smartphones.
This year, brands are focusing on something other than budget smartphones, especially in the 20K segment, as users are willing to pay more. Thanks for being with us. We would like to know your valuable opinion and feedback. If there is any query, share it with us in the comment section below.
