Recently, Microsoft launched Microsoft Loop in preview for the web. If you have yet to hear of Microsoft Loop, it’s a productivity app similar to Notion. It allows for hierarchy, workspaces, block-based writing, and much more. What makes it different from Microsoft Loop is its Loop component, which you can use to integrate the Loop component with other Microsoft services like Outlook and more. The company aims to offer more, which you can check out here.

Until today, Microsoft Loop was only accessible on the desktop web, but now you can use Microsoft Loop on your iOS and Android mobile platforms. Enabling a personal Microsoft account allows you to use Microsoft Loop on a mobile device, even with work accounts. Microsoft launched Loop last month, but it was limited to work accounts at that time.

Microsoft Loop on Mobile supports Microsoft Personal Accounts on iOS and Android.

You can download Microsoft Loop for iOS and Android from the App Store or Google Play Store. It’s in beta, so you might encounter some bugs and issues. You must use your Microsoft account to continue using Microsoft Loop on your device. For work or school accounts, it needs to be enabled by your IT administrator.

It is available for free and will remain free to access. Microsoft Loop will also have Co-Pilot, which means it will incorporate Microsoft’s generative AI feature, just like other Microsoft apps and services that keep getting AI features with updates. Microsoft Loop helps you stay organised in your workspace and allows you to sync and share your workspace or pages with your team for collaboration.

Microsoft Loop allows you to create content within a loop that you can share with a specific piece of content through the Loop component. This ensures you stay in sync regardless of where you open them within Loop pages. This collaborative notes tool, like Notion or Google Workspace Spaces, was previewed earlier this year. It will sync in real-time, like Google Docs, and allow you to insert text, images, tables, task lists, and other interactive elements. It also has comments to discuss with other team members.

This allows for multiple collaborations in real time. It still lags behind Notion in terms of features, but it could be a good option for students and some individuals who just want simplicity but the flexibility to work on other Microsoft services simultaneously. You can use the Loop component to build and share to-do lists, progress trackers, and more with other Microsoft 365 apps and services.
