Samsung announced the Enhance-X app 11 months ago, which has been available for the Galaxy S23 Series. It brings a lot of powerful AI editing tools that help improve the quality of images and fix issues with them. However, the company has released the Expert RAW app and Adobe Lightroom for the Galaxy for advanced users.

Samsung’s Enhance X-App offers tools like turning your image imperfections into a perfect image by adjusting sharpness, lighting, HDR, colour, and facial features, among others. Its simple user interface allows regular users to edit their photos without requiring mastery of picture editing skills. Samsung has already started rolling out Enhanced-X image editing to the Galaxy Z Fold, which is the first foldable device to get access to the advanced image editing app.

Features of Samsung’s Enhance X-App

  • Wavy (Moire)
  • AI Upscale
  • HDR
  • Blue Fix
  • Brightness
  • Sharpness
  • Remove shadows and reflections.
  • Portrait
  • Face selection
  • Denoise
  • Colour enhancer
  • And Magic uses AI to analyse images to fix issues.

It is similar to Samsung’s Remaster app within the Gallery, but the core functionality significantly differs. Some of the features are so popular in the Eastern markets. One of the most important features is increasing the resolution by 4x for photos with less than 1 MP, eliminating artefacts, and producing sharper images. For instance, an image originally with a resolution of 640 x 360 and less than 1 MP can be transformed into a high-resolution 2560 x 1440 image.
