Samsung recently launched the successor to the Samsung Galaxy A50s, which was the Galaxy A51. Not to mention, at the initial price of the Galaxy A50S, we consider it an overpriced device. Samsung has announced the official price of the device. The recently launched Galaxy A51 replaces the A50.
Design
First things first, the design language of the device, with a minimalist colour, comfortable holding, and ergonomics at the same time, makes it more appealing. Okay, if you think the rear is glass because Samsung named it Glasstic, it is polycarbonate with metal framing. Also, the 3D holographic cut pattern reflects according to reflection angles.
Display
It comes with a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Display Panel with a Central Punch Hole Display. Which is smaller than the Note 10 Plus? Combining all these things, the contrast and thin bezels make the display amazing.
Camera
In terms of camera performance, the device has a 48 MP primary, 12 MP ultra-wide angle, 5 MP depth, and 5 MP macro. The UI and the results were amazing, with lots of detail. As for now, these were sharp and skewed, and the portraits were fairly good. While the 32MP selfie shooter doesn’t have the best portraits, the images were acceptable.
However, it brings a new camera module known as the L-shaped camera module, aligned vertically on the left side of the rear panel. Samsung will continue to use this camera module in upcoming smartphones. As usual, the volume and power buttons are placed on the right, and the SIM tray is on the left. It still has a 3.5mm audio jack along with a single-ring bottom speaker and a USB Type-C port for data sharing and charging.
Chipset: System on Chip
Under the hood, the device is powered by a 10 nm Exynos 9611, the same as the Galaxy A50s, but it performs better than the previous generation because of software optimization. Likely, the device has an optical fingerprint scanner, but it is quite slow compared to the competition. To power the device, it is equipped with a 4000mAh battery that lasts for ~1 day.
Software
It runs on Android 10-based Custom Skin OneUI 2.0 out of the box. It is quite simple and designed for a larger display like the Note 10, even though it is Lite for faster response. The camera is also improved, and it seems the software experience will be better with the upcoming updates. It’s a premium-looking device that looks very attractive, but it doesn’t have the best performance.
