Samsung kicked off an update for the email app, an app update with version 6.1.72.1. For the third time this year, the Samsung Email update for Galaxy smartphones and tablets is running One UI. In comparison, other apps do not come with a changelog.
This update for email shows significant improvements and more. This includes fixes for the S-Pen where it does crop while composing a new email, which prevents viewing the image correctly in the view—talking about stabilising the S/MIME email encryption.
Samsung Email has recently seen massive usage; they completed 500 million downloads in 2018 and recently touched the 1 billion milestone on the Play Store. This count does not include the Galaxy Store. Not to mention, the app is well-optimised for the Galaxy device and is the first choice for Samsung users.
