Recently, both OEMs, Vivo and Oppo, launched their latest and greatest smartphones in China, the Vivo X30 Pro and the Oppo Reno 3 Pro! Today, we have decided to compare both smartphones regarding full specifications and price, camera, battery, display, performance, and more. The Vivo X30 has an Exynos 980 SoC with 8GB + 128GB of storage onboard, while the Oppo Reno 3 Pro is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC with 8GB + 128GB of storage onboard. 

Performance

The Oppo Reno 3 Pro is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 Octa-core processor. This powerful chip has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage onboard. While the Vivo X30 Pro also has a powerful Samsung Exynos 980 Octa-core processor. This Chipset is Huge, With 8GB RAM and 128GB Storage Onboard. Both devices run the latest Android Pie out of the box. Oppo Reno 3 Pro and Vivo X30 Pro perform better playing games and easily handle multitasking apps.

Camera

The Vivo X30 Pro comes with a 64MP primary camera with a Samsung GW1 sensor with a f/1.8 lens aperture and a focal length of 135mm, a 32MP portrait Samsung GD1 sensor with a f/2.0 aperture, and an 8MP super wide angle. FOV: 112 degrees, 2.5 cm macro, and the last 13 MP super telephoto lens. Vivo X30 Pro captures 2x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom, and 60x digital zoom pictures. While the Oppo Reno 3 Pro also comes with a quad camera setup using a 48 MP Sony IMX586 Primary + 8 MP 115°FoV Ultra-Wide-Angle + 13 MP Telephoto, it offers a 5x hybrid Zoom + 2 MP macro lens, offering a focal length of 2.5 cm. While on the front is a 32MP selfie shooter packed inside a punchhole. Both devices support 4K recording at 60 fps.

Display

Oppo Reno 3 Pro Sports has a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED Display with 1080×2400 Pixel Resolution. It also includes a high 90Hz refresh rate. Up front, placing a single punch hole on the display panel’s left side helps achieve a 92.1% screen-to-body ratio. The Vivo X30 Pro has a 6.44-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with minimal bezels and a punch-hole selfie camera up top. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio, 1080*2400 pixels of resolution, and supports the P3 color gamut. An in-display fingerprint scanner is on board for security, and the Vivo X30 series unlocks the device in just 0.29 seconds. 

Battery

Vivo X30 Pro has a massive 4,350mAh battery supporting 33W wired fast charging. While the Oppo Reno 3 Pro comes with a 4025mAh battery using a 30W USB Type-C VOOC 4.0 fast charger bundled in the box.

Sensors and connectivity

Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, an in-display fingerprint scanner, a gyro sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, a hall sensor, a proximity sensor, and an RGB light sensor. So, connectivity options in the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and Bluetooth 5.0. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, and there is a USB-C port that is possible to support fast charging.

Vivo X30 Pro Starting Price Tag The Vivo X30 Pro starting price is 3998 yen for the 8GB+ 128GB storage variant and 4298 yen for the 8GB+256GB storage variant. It comes in black, orange (with a reddish gradient), and purple-blue options. Oppo Reno 3 Pro Starting Price Tag is 3,999 Yuan.
