Realme 5s vs. Redmi Note 8 Mobile Comparison

Recently, Realme launched its new budget smartphone under 10K in India called the Realme 5s, and Redmi launched the Redmi Note 8, which also comes under 10K. Today, let’s talk about their price comparison and their specifications. The Realme 5s comes with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, while the Redmi Note 8 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC.

Performance

Realme 5s comes with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 and Adreno 610 GPU. It runs the latest Android Pie out of the box, based on ColorOS 6.0.1. The Redmi Note 8 runs with the latest Android 9 based on EMUI 11 out of the box. It is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC with the Andreno 610. Both devices perform the same function while playing games. 

The Redmi Note 8 comes with 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB and 4GB+128GB and 6GB+64GB storage options. Realme 5s has 4GB RAM and 64 GB/128 GB storage onboard. Both Devices’ storage can increase up to 25GB Via a microSD card. Both devices give better performance while playing games and multitasking. 

Camera

In terms of the camera, the Realme 5s comes with a quad camera setup with a 48MP camera using a Sony IMX586 with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 lens, a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 lens, and a 2-megapixel depth camera with an f/2.4 lens. At the front, there is a 13MP selfie camera with an F/2.0 aperture. While the Redmi Note 8 uses a 48MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM2 sensor with an f/1.8 lens, an 8MP secondary sensor with an f/2.2 lens and 119-degree FOV, a 2MP with an f/2.4 aperture macro sensor, and a 2MP with an f/2.4 lens depth sensor. Both devices record 4K records at 30 fps. 

Battery

The Realme 5s has a massive 5,000mAh battery and 10W fast charging support. You can quickly charge your mobile in just half an hour and enjoy games with massive battery performance. While the Redmi Note comes with the same 4,000mAh battery but 18W fast-charging support. Both devices are suitable for battery performance, but Redmi gives 18W fast charging support, while Realme gives a massive battery with 10W fast charging. Also, Redmi Comes with a USB type-c port, and Realme Comes with a MicroUSB port.

Display

The Realme 5s has a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 720×1600 Pixel Resolution at 269 PPI Waterdrop IPS LCD Display. Which has a complete 82.7% screen-to-body ratio with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display panel is well protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ and Night Mode for Eye Care.

6.3-inch IPS LCD with a 2340×1080 Pixel Resolution and a Waterdrop Notch Display. Thanks to Waterdrop Notch, it achieved a complete 90% screen-to-body ratio of 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display is protected by TUV Rheinland Protection. The device’s rear panel is called an aura fluid design with a gradient pattern.

Price

The Realme 5s starting price tag is Rs. 9,999 for the 4GB+64GB storage option, while the Redmi Note 8 starting price is the same: Rs. 9,999 for the same variant (4GB+64GB). Also, Redmi comes with different storage options.
