In recent years, Chromebooks have been doing well, especially since manufacturers have started supporting great games and designing their Chromebooks to support high-end games. One of the most popular games, Minecraft, is coming to Chromebooks. Currently, it’s only available on selected Chromebooks, for which you can find the minimum requirements mentioned below.
Mojang Studio, the developer of Minecraft, announced that early access to Minecraft for Chromebooks is now available for selected users. Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is a cross-platform game, which means that players from different platforms can play the game together across platforms. Not only this, but players also have access to the Minecraft Marketplace, where they can trade in-game creations and Minecraft Realms to manage their private servers and play with friends.

- System Architecture: 64-bit (x86_64 or arm64-v8a)
- SoC: Intel Celeron N4500, Intel I3-71630U, MediaTek MT8183, or Qualcomm SC7180 or higher

Minecraft for Chromebook
Minecraft for Chromebooks is quite popular. It’s a sandbox game, which means players can create, modify, or destroy their environment. Minecraft has been available for years on multiple platforms, including Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and consoles. Not to mention that ChromeOS supports Android and Linux, which allows you to install and play Minecraft on a Chromebook.
The early access version of the game costs $20 from the Play Store. However, the beta version of the game has various bugs. There are three different pricing options available: $19.99, $6.99, or $13. Players who want both the Android and Chromebook versions should buy the $19.99 option and individually buy the $6.99 option for Android and the $13 option for Chromebook.
If you encounter any issues, then you can report them on Discord or submit feedback on the Minecraft website. It’s important to note that with the $20 version of Minecraft for Chromebook, you get both Chromebook and Android versions, while with the $7 option, you only get the Android version.
The studio hasn’t announced a release date for the game yet, but it will receive updates and be polished over time. Also, Trails & Tales is expected to be released later this year by the same studio.
