Nokia 2.3 vs. Redmi Note 8A Mobile Comparison

Recently, Nokia launched its new smartphone, called the Nokia 2.3. This device comes with the MediaTek Helio A22, an entry-level smartphone that runs on Android One. Today, let’s compare the Nokia 2.3 and Redmi 8A in terms of full specifications and price. The Redmi 8A comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC.

Performance

Nokia 2.3 has a powered MediaTek Helio A22 octa-core processor, clocked at 2 GHz. This chipset is coupled with a single Varaint 2GB with 32GB of storage onboard. While the Redmi 8A is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 octa-core processor, which is clocked at 1.9GHz. It comes with 2GB+32GB and 3GB+32GB storage onboard. It runs on the latest Android Pie out of the box. 

Camera

Regarding the camera, the Nokia 2.3 comes with a dual 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.2 lens. Which captures good-quality pictures and shoots videos. For the front, there is a 5 MP selfie camera with an f/2.4 lens. While the Redmi 8A uses a single 13MP rear camera with an f/1.8 lens and a 5MP selfie camera with the same f/2.4 lens.

Display 

Nokia 2.3 has a 6.2-inch (720×1520 pixels) HD+ Display with a Waterdrop Notch Display Panel. There is an advanced in-cell display featuring a 19:9 aspect ratio. The material Nokia uses to manufacture the device is a polycarbonate rear panel and a dedicated Google Assistant button. While the Redmi 8A comes with a 6.22-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a waterdrop notch on the top of the display. Meanwhile, it has a 19.9 aspect ratio and a 720×1520 pixel resolution. It offers Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top of the screen.

Battery

The Redmi 8A has a 5000mAh Li-Polymer battery that uses an 18W fast-charging USB Type-C charger to power the device. Which is Something We Can’t Expect at an Entry-Level Price Point?

However, as usual, Redmi doesn’t bundle an 18W fast charger; instead, it bundles a 10W (5V/2A) charger. While the Nokia 2.3 is equipped with a 4000mAh battery packed by AI for extended battery life using a 5W charger. The Redmi 8A is better than the Nokia 2.3 in battery capacity, with a 5,000mAh battery.

Price

The Nokia 2.3 price tag is Rs. 8,199 for a single variant of 2GB+32GB storage, while the Redmi 8A price tag is Rs. 6,499 for a 2GB+32GB storage variant and Rs. 6,999 for a 3GB+32GB storage variant.
