Tech companies Nvidia and Microsoft have teamed up to improve enterprise applications using generative AI. They will integrate Nvidia’s AI enterprise software into Microsoft Azure machine learning to help speed up AI initiatives for enterprises. The partnership aims to create an efficient platform for Azure customers to build, deploy, and manage custom applications using Nvidia’s AI framework and tools.
The combination of Nvidia’s enterprise software and Azure’s machine learning offerings will streamline the path from development to production for enterprises. It will accelerate computing capabilities, boost performance, and speed up training on AI models in Azure machine learning. The partnership will offer Azure machine learning users the highest level of security and performance.
This collaboration also extends to the Nvidia Omniverse cloud platform, available on Microsoft Azure, providing developers with stack cloud environments for designing, developing, deploying, and managing industrial metaverse applications. The companies aim to dominate the generative AI space. The partnership promises existing advancements for users. Developers can quickly scale applications from testing to large deployments using Azure machine learning’s data encryption. The Nvidia AI Enterprise with Azure machine learning integration is currently in the preview stage and is available by invitation through the Nvidia Community registry to the Nvidia Omniverse cloud platform.
The companies have also introduced a new media provenance feature for Bing Image Creator and Designer. This feature will enable users to verify whether an image or video was generated by AI using cryptographic methods. The feature is coming to Bing Image Creators and Designers, and Google has announced its use of embedded metadata to indicate generative AI-created visual media. Other players like Shutterstock and MidJourney have implemented guidelines for making generative AI content. Keeping track of media provenance is important as generative AI becomes more prevalent in the industry.
This is to ensure proper attribution and identification of images and videos generated using AI in Microsoft Designer and Bing Image Creators. These media provenance capabilities will watermark AI-generated content with media data to indicate its source and will be rolling out to users in the next few months.
Microsoft is committed to developing AI technology responsibly and has introduced Azure AI content safety and tools to maintain a safe online environment. Azure machine learning for promoting, evaluating, and tuning large language models will be integrated into Azure AI content safety to detect or remove harmful content with workflow.
