Xiaomi Mi Band is one of the best-selling wearable bands all over the world, and it is going to touch the market in India on September 27. Which has already been released in China, and according to senior vice president Wang Xiang’s tweet, the company shipped over 1 million units in just 17 days.
The Mi Band is an absolute stunner in terms of improved design. This time, Xiaomi brings a 3D-curved design that has more rounded corners, making it highly sensitive to scratches. The Mi Band 3 comes with a massive 0.78-inch PMOLED touchscreen display. Our display will be fully sensitive and much brighter.
There will be 128 x 80 x 193 PPI. The display allows you to swipe or hold the full front line of the fitness band, where you will be controlling it with a button. But the display takes a few seconds to start responding to touch after being woken up.
Xiaomi will also bring in three colour variants, such as orange, blue, and black.
The Mi band has a hearing rate sensor with step counting, sleep monitoring, and a health management kit. The Sleep Tracker breaks down your sleeping pattern into deep sleep, light sleep, and awakening. It also stores real-time data to keep up-to-date with running. Cycling and walking status. Including an in-built stopwatch. There is a Locate your smartwatch with a couple of taps.
The device also handles notifications a lot better, offering notifications from your app and accepting or rejecting calls straight through your band itself. It supports five notifications at the same time: calls, messages, alarms, reminders, and more. The band also includes a waterproof rating of 5 ATM, which is up to 50 meters deep.
Xiaomi could also be offering another variant for NFC payment via Alipay, but since tap-to-pay is not yet famous in India, The device comes with a 110 mAh battery, which runs for almost 20 days easily and takes up to 3 hours to fully charge.
