By removing the waitlist, Google has made the Google Bard available to everyone in over 180 countries. The new version of Bard, which uses the PaLM 2 language model, is more powerful and accurate than the previous version, which used LaMDA. This makes it easier for users to understand topics, gain new perspectives and insights, and complete tasks more efficiently.
In addition, Google is experimenting with generative AI capabilities to search for those with personal emails. This new program, called Search Labs, helps users write emails faster and better. Instead of asking a series of questions and piecing together information yourself, a search engine can now do some of that heavy lifting for you.
Google’s Search Engine Experience (SGE).
Google has introduced a new feature called Search Engine Experience. This feature uses artificial intelligence and language models to provide better answers to complex search queries. The feature is currently in preview and will be rolled out to users who have signed up for the Search Labs program.
To get the newest beta feature, you must sign up for the waitlist on the Search Labs site. After signing up, Google will email you to let you know when you are in. You can opt-in to search and other experiments via the Google mobile app or Chrome for Windows, Mac, or Linux by visiting labs.google.com/search.
Instead of displaying 10 blue links, Google will generate an AI-powered “snapshot” of the information and other insights and tips to answer your questions, including insights, tips, and information from different sources.
Google is rolling out the feature in US English to those who signed up for Search Lab, which is available for desktop and mobile devices, including Android and iOS. However, Google One Premium subscribers will get priority access to the queue. You can start trying this feature once you receive an email about its access. Users don’t need to do anything; it will go live after they have been selected for the beta.
Google summarises and presents the collected information in a visually distinct format with a colored background. These models have been optimized to return high-quality, objective, and neutral responses that lack a person and do not give a first-person POV. On the desktop web, Google will surface website information that answers the query to the right, while it appears as a carousel on mobile.

Once you opt into the experiment, you will see a new icon in the search bar. Click on the icon to learn more about the experiments and how to use them. SGE has a button that lets you see how information was corroborated, a conversational mode for follow-up questions, and the ability to suggest options for buying-related queries and show ads. In addition, there are two new experiments: Code Tips and Add to Sheets.
- Verify: This button shows the source of the response in the top-right corner. It helps you check if the response is accurate.
- Conversation: This mode lets you ask follow-up questions. The chatbot interface tracks your previous queries and context to provide more informed answers.
- Shopping and Ads: When you search for a product, it suggests options that fit your criteria, with prices, features, and reviews. Sponsored products are labeled as sponsored shopping ads and appear in a blue box on the first page.
- Code Tips: This feature gives pointers for writing code faster and wiser. You can ask how-to questions about specific programming languages, tools, and algorithms.
- Add to Sheets: This feature lets you insert search results directly into spreadsheets and share them with friends. It’s a great way to keep track of the information you find in a search.
Google Bard
Google has announced a new update to Google Bard. The update allows users to directly add visual content to their responses from Google Search. This feature was first teased during Google I/O 2023 and is now available worldwide. Users can now ask for images or have them accompany text responses.
The future update to Google Bard will offer even more visual content. This change comes after Bing announced a similar feature months ago in response to public demand.
Google Search offers many valuable features, including:
- Simplifies complex topics by breaking them into smaller parts and providing AI-powered snapshots.
- Answers specific questions concisely with pointers and a range of options.
- It helps users research and compare products by providing a list of factors to consider and making recommendations based on review scores, price, and applications.
Google is taking on Bing with the release of Bing for Mobile. Google Bard has advanced features like images and BardAI, similar to ChatGPT from OpenAI. Google also introduced the export feature, allowing users to export their conversations and easily import them into Gmail or Docs.
Integration is also coming to Google’s productivity apps like Gmail and Docs to make AI more practical for everyday tasks. Bard’s export feature enhances productivity by enabling the reuse of generated responses in different applications. The company is making AI more valuable and beneficial for regular users’ productivity needs.
Export Bard Response
The update introduces a feature called Search Generative Experience (SGE) that improves the Google Search experience by providing more detailed responses to queries.
To export a response to Gmail or Docs:
- Click the Export button on the Google Bar.
- Choose the desired location to export the response to.
Delete the Bard History
To delete recent Bard activity history, follow these steps:
- Go to the side panel or menu.
- Look for Recent History under Bard Activity Summary.
- Click on the Delete button to remove the history.
Google has recently announced new devices, including the Google Pixel 7a, Google Pixel Fold, and Google Pixel Tablet. According to Google, these new releases are just the beginning, and more features will be added over time. Google is committed to being responsible with its AI efforts and ensuring high-quality models.
