Google’s latest budget device, the Google Pixel 6a, is ready to receive its first update. The update is likely to start rolling out in early August, and Google will officially release the factory image based on Android 12 for the device.
However, there is no global factory image available for all Google Pixel 6a devices. The factory image is signed as of June 2022 with the Android 12.1 version. On the other hand, Google Pixel 6a users are eligible to opt-in for the Android 13 Beta Programme.
Meanwhile, you can use this factory image if you want to restore your device. Not to mention, it is the easiest and safest way to sideload a full OTA image on the Google Pixel 6a. Currently, factory images are available for Verizon and Verizon MVNO phones, as well as a few Japan-based wireless carriers.

This patch does have an August security patch, and the codename for it was “Bluejay.”
