Google is officially rolling out its Gmail package tracking feature. If you don’t know, Gmail will now offer you more information about your incoming correspondence at a glance. However, this feature is not enabled by default, and you need to enable it to use it. With this feature, you can quickly view your deliveries directly in your email.

Typically, you need to open an app or go to the website of the company you placed an order with. Package tracking is available on Android and iOS, and in this article, we will share how you can enable package tracking on Gmail. So, without further ado, let’s get into it.

How to Use Gmail Package Tracking on a Smartphone

Before continuing, the latest update brings package tracking and subtle improvements to the Gmail interface. Speaking of incoming package tracking at a glance, you can identify those packages by the green label attached to the email title with the delivery status.

You need to open the email to see more information. At the top, a card will show more details about the delivery. This feature works with almost all major shipping carriers. Now, Google has not confirmed which pages will be supported and what will be added in the future. After you’ve learned all of this, you can enable package tracking in Gmail. Follow these instructions carefully to successfully enable the package tracking feature:

  • Open Gmail and click on the horizontal three-line icon in the Settings menu.
  • Once in the Gmail app’s settings menu, select the account you want to enable package tracking for, if you have multiple accounts.
  • Look for the package tracking option.
  • Check the checkbox for package tracking, and you’re done!

After enabling this feature, all eligible or supported carriers will have a package indicator labeled as “arriving tomorrow,” “delivered today,” or “delayed,” or with the current status of the package. Gmail will automatically match the email and update the situation, so you don’t need to do anything manually.

If you don’t find this setting, it is recommended that you update your Gmail to the latest version to get it. Thank you for being with us. We would like to hear your valuable opinions and feedback.
