Google has officially announced the Android 14 Beta, and it’s a privilege for several OEMs to have Android 14 available for their devices. This exclusive list includes Google Pixel, IQOO, Lenovo, Nothing, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Tecno, Vivo, and Xiaomi. It’s easy to download and install on your Device. In the following guide, you will find all the in-depth information for each smartphone. Builds are built on top of OEMs’ skins based on Android 14.
OEMs have officially released the Android 14 Beta’s first developer preview, but all of the builds are still in the early development stage and could take some time before they become stable. To download and install the Android 14 Beta build on your Device, we have a specific guide for all the devices, which is also available on the respective OEMs’ websitesOEMs’ websites.
Before proceeding, all these builds aren’t up-to-date with the latest version of Google’s Android 14 Beta 2, but they will be rolling out to these devices in the following weeks. Also, many features from Android 14 may need more features OEMs expected from the Google Pixel. It is also advised to download and flash Android 14 Beta 2 on your primary Device only if you’re a developer who needs to test their app.
Android 14 brings several exciting new features, like the new design language with Material You, new multitasking features, privacy and security features, performance improvements, and accessibility features. These enhancements are designed to elevate your smartphone experience.
Noteworthy
- Keep a backup of your Device. Your Device’s storage will be formatted, and all your data will be erased.
- Your Device should have more than 30% battery life, and a minimum of 4 GB of storage space is available.
- Carrier-version devices (T-Mobile and Verizon) aren’t compatible with the beta build.
- Some apps, including Google and third-party apps, may work differently than expected.
- Android 14 Beta for OEMs may only come with some of Stock Android’s built-in features.
- ROMs package adapted to the latest Google GMS package, and original applications duplicating the GMS package will not be retained.
- Before proceeding, ensure your device system has been updated to the latest version. Go to Device Settings > System > System Update to check for updates.
- While upgrading, don’t perform any action, such as removing the app from the background, to ensure a smooth and successful update process.
- If you encounter any issues during ‘local installation, ‘which means installing the Android 14 Beta directly from your Device’s storage, disconnect your Device from Wi-Fi and mobile devices and try upgrading or rolling it back again. If you are still experiencing the same problem, you can clear line ‘xvn2’ three from Software Update > Storage Usages. Flashing these ROMs on your primary Device device is not recommended if you have little to no experience in software development.
Flash Beta with caution because it has some known issues, such as potential app incompatibilities, system instability, or reduced battery life. There is a risk of ‘bricking’ your Device. ‘Bricking’ means your Device becomes unusable, like a brick. However, there are ways to recover your Device if this happens. Only proceed when you are aware of what you are doing.
