Samsung Galaxy Series users have recently reported trouble connecting to Wi-Fi networks. Despite this issue, device performance and battery life are well-rounded thanks to the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for the Galaxy. The Wi-Fi connection issue is probably a software issue that will be fixed with a future update.
Until then, there is a workaround for this. Most Galaxy S23 Series users who are having Wi-Fi connectivity issues have been using Wi-Fi 6 connections. People using Wi-Fi 6-enabled routers have been experiencing this problem, and their Galaxy S23 Series devices constantly switch to mobile data even when the Wi-Fi connection is active and working well with other devices.
Although the Galaxy S23 Series has pretty stable software, this issue has only been encountered by individuals. For Galaxy S23 Series users (Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra), simply switching the Wi-Fi toggle on or off whenever you face this problem with your phone or switching to mobile data could help.
We know it’s frustrating. Samsung is reportedly working on this issue, and this is just a temporary solution until Samsung rolls out a proper fix. The company has started rolling out the March update, but it’s not available in every region yet. Until then, if you don’t want to switch your Wi-Fi on or off whenever it connects to mobile data, you can also disable Wi-Fi 6 on your router.
Every router has its own set of settings on its unique interface. To disable Wi-Fi 6, you need to dig into your router settings. However, if you are using an ASUS router, you can find Wi-Fi 6 settings under the Wireless Menu (WLAN), and under Advanced Settings, you have the option to disable or enable Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax/WiFi 6) Mode.
You can use the 2.4GHz or 5GHz band until you receive an update on your device. This fix works for all Galaxy S23 models, including Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
