Realme recently launched the Realme 11 Pro Series, which includes the Realme 11 Pro for Rs 23,999 and the Realme 11 Pro+ for Rs 27,999. The devices have leather designs, a curved display, and a 200 MP OIS camera. However, Realme has another smartphone that does not have a leather design, a curved display, or a 200 MP OIS camera. However, it is better in many ways than the Realme 11 Pro+.
The Best Smartphone Under 25,000
Last year, Realme launched the Realme GT 2 for Rs 34,999, but now the device is available for under Rs 25,058. This means a permanent reduction of Rs. 10,000, making it one of the most affordable smartphones under 25,000 rupees. There are only a few exemplary 25,000 smartphones, like the Motorola Edge 30, the Redmi Note 12 Pro, and the IQOO Neo 6.
There is no other smartphone in this price range that matches this device’s performance and camera. Realme removed the Realme GT2 from its website. However, it can be found on Flipkart and Amazon, and it will only be available while supplies last.
Why choose the Realme GT 2 over the Realme 11 Pro Series?
First, the Realme GT 2 has a flagship 5nm Snapdragon 888 processor paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The device doesn’t have battery throttling like we’ve seen with the Snapdragon 888 SoC in the past.
Graphics performance in games is even better, as it supports higher graphics than other smartphones. COD Mobile can be adjusted to very high graphics with maximum frame rates. This is unlike Realme 11 Pro+, which can only take up to very high graphics with FPS.
You may not find the Realme GT 2 as striking as the Realme 11 Pro Series, but most features are available with it. For example, the fingerprint scanner is faster than the Realme 11 Pro Series. The Realme GT 2 doesn’t come with a headphone jack or MicroSD card slot, but stereo speakers. The display is solid, although it doesn’t match the Realme 11 Pro Series’ curved display and bezels.
Choosing an old-generation smartphone over a new-generation one
There are no compromises. The device comes with Android 12 out of the box, and similar to the Realme 11 Pro series, it comes with three OS updates. So, your device can be upgraded to Android 15, just like the Realme 11 Pro Series.
We agree that the Realme custom skin isn’t the cleanest experience. However, since it’s a flagship, it has very little bloatware, unlike Realme 11 Pro, which has 21. You don’t even get ads, and Glance is turned off. We have a guide here if you want to disable all those things.
The Realme GT 2 camera is better than the Realme 11 Pro Series.
The device has all Indian 5G bands and NFC support, and the camera is even better than the Realme 11 Pro Series. The Realme GT 2 has a 50 MP IMX766, an 8 MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2 MP macro lens. The latter is better if you compare the Realme 11 Pro+’s 200 MP Samsung sensor with the Realme GT 2’s 50 MP Sony sensor.
Even the videos are better on the Realme GT 2, with improved stabilization and faster focusing. It’s evident that higher megapixels don’t mean better photos; the company needs to optimize the camera sensor. The ISP also matters, so the Realme GT 2 is better than the Realme 11 Pro Series.
The Realme GT 2 battery is also good, paired with a 65W charger that can charge your device from 0 to 100% within 45 minutes. So, the graphics are similar to those on flagship-grade smartphones. Under 25K, it’s a pretty reasonable smartphone.
