To provide low-budget smartphones, Xiaomi, Redmi, and Mi smartphones bundle adware into the smartphones, which is used to push notifications of deals, sometimes crossing the limit with vulgar ads. Xiaomi doesn’t push Target ads, so most Xiaomi users want to disable ads on their MIUI devices.

How to Remove MIUI Ads from Xiaomi, Mi, and Redmi Devices: A Quick Guide
There is no single-click toggle button to disable the recommendation. To do this, you need to put extra effort into it. Follow the instructions mentioned below.
MSA App
MSA stands for MIUI System Ads. It’s hidden under “Authorization & Revocation” instead of “Apps & System.” This Xiaomi/Redmi device will no longer display advertisements for the default apps, which include the browser, security, and other system apps. Xiaomi uses user’s data to show ads on Xiaomi devices. Check out how you can disable it.
Before performing, we need to disable the internet usage for the MSA app. Once you restrict data usage, you can disable the MSA app. For this, follow the guide mentioned below.
Disable the mobile internet and background connection for the MSA app.
- Open the Security app and head over to Data Usage.
- Go to Restrict data usage, and scroll down to the bottom to extend the app list.
- Tap on the system apps, and there, disable the MSA by unchecking it.
- Revert, and then disbalance the data usage for Wi-Fi by following the same action.
- Next, revert and tap on the triple-dot menu that appears in the upper-right corner of the app.
- Then, choose the background connection and, from the list, toggle to disable the MSA.
Revoke the MSA from authorization.
- Open the device settings and head over to Password and Security.
- Go to Authorization and Revocation.
- Scroll down to find the MSA. Once you find it, toggle the button to disable the MSA.
- Confirm your action by tapping on the “Revoke” button.

You have to continue with the following steps: Disabling MSA standalone doesn’t help you get rid of ads in MIUI. You also need to manually disable ads from Mi apps.
Disable Ad Service and Ad Targeting
These are targeted ads, which are based on the personal information collected by your device. By disabling it, you won’t get any personalized ads on your device.
- Open Device Settings and head over to Password and Security.
- Go to Privacy, and then open Ad Services.
- Google to disable the personalized ad recommendations from there.

- Click on the settings icon placed in the upper-right corner of the app.

- Open File Manager and tap on the “About” option.

Ads can be turned off in the Mi Browser.

- Open the browser settings.
- Head over to Privacy and Security.

- Open MIUI Music and head over to the menu that appears in the upper left corner of the app.
- Go to Advanced settings, and from there toggle to disable the “Receive Recommendations.’
