Android’s customizability is one of its best features, and changing fonts is just one way to personalise your experience. The default font on Android devices and other Google services is Roboto. In this guide, we will share how to change the font on Android smartphones.

How to Change the Font on a Samsung Phone

  • Go to the Settings page. Click on Display.
  • In the display settings, you can adjust the font size and style to your preference.
  • To select a different font style, simply choose from the available options in the menu.
  • Once you have made your selection, your device will automatically update with the new font.

How to change the font on a Xiaomi phone

In certain regions, such as India and Hong Kong, the Xiaomi Themes app allows users to download and install new fonts. If you are located outside of these regions, you can still access new fonts by changing the region on your phone to India. This will enable you to receive software updates meant for that region, including new fonts.

  • Open the Themes app. Select the “Fonts” option.
  • Browse through the available fonts and choose the one you wish to apply.
  • Once you have made your selection, click “Apply” to apply the new font to your device.

How to Change the Font on an Oppo Phone

  • Open the Themes Store app.
  • Navigate to the “Fonts” section, which is represented by an icon that looks like a T in a box.
  • Browse through the available fonts and select the one you wish to download or try out.
  • Follow the prompts to complete the download or trial process.

How to Change the Font on a Vivo Phone

  • Open the Themes app.
  • In the bottom bar, tap the “Fonts” icon.
  • Browse through the available fonts and select the one you wish to use.

Change the font on a OnePlus phone

  • From the menu, select “Settings.”.
  • In the Settings menu, navigate to the “Customisation” section.
  • Within the customisation settings, you can choose the font you wish to use.
  • Simply select your desired font from the available options.

Change the font on an LG phone

  • Go to the “Settings” page. Click on “Display”.
  • In the Display settings, click on the “Font” option.
  • From here, you can either download more fonts from LG SmartWorld or select a font from the available options.
  • Once you have made your selection, your device will automatically update with the new font.

Here’s how to change the font on a real device.

  • Open the Themes Store app. In the centre of the app, tap on the “Fonts” tab.
  • Browse through the available font styles and select the one you wish to use.
  • After making your selection, tap “Apply” to apply the new font style system-wide.
  • Your device’s font style should now be changed.

To change the font, use third-party apps.

If your phone does not natively support the ability to change fonts, you can use third-party launchers such as Nova Launcher and Zfonts to change the font on your device. However, it is important to note that these launchers do not allow you to change the font system-wide, unlike the built-in tools, which can change the font for the entire system.

Using Nova Launcher to change fonts

  • Download and install Nova Launcher from the Google Play Store.
  • Navigate to the “Settings” app within Nova. In the “App drawer” and “Home screen” settings, you can replace the font style under the “Icon Layout” section.
  • Please note that each font will need to be changed separately.

Using the Zfont App

  • Search for “Zfonts” in the Google Play Store and install the app.
  • Open the app from your app drawer.
  • When you open the app, you will be prompted to allow certain permissions. Click “Allow”.
  • You will see a list of available fonts.
  • Tap on the font that you like.
  • Click “Download” to download the file.
  • To install the font, press “Ok.” Then, go to “Settings” and toggle “Allow apps from this source” on.
  • Go back and click “Install.”.
