Today, AI is all over the place; Microsoft’s Bing search engine has more than 100 million daily active users. Search engines like Brave have also introduced their AI-powered search results. This feature is enabled by default on desktop and mobile, but Brave gives users the option to opt out of this service from the settings.
Brave is well-known for its chromium-based web browser, and they have recently introduced its search engine. With the integration of Brave AI, users can now get a quick summary of the information that users have searched for.
Brave called their AI-powered tool a Summarizer, which works as it is named after. It searches, and Brave AI will summarise the information based on the user’s input on display. However, it’s leaning towards a more basic implementation of Bing AI.
This uses Web Results, so based on your input, it will answer differently and is said to be more accurate. The company has put a lot of effort into making its search engine better over time, but it still lacks Google’s page ranking. You may find some difficulty with the results, and it won’t deliver the desired answer.
You can check out search.brave.com to check this out in your browser. Unlike ChatGPT, which is trained on massive data, here the results are purely generative AI models, and it is trained on large language models (LLMs) to process the multiple sources of information from the web, which tends to be more accurate and expressed in coherent language.
It provides up-to-date information and can keep up with updates on current events. According to reports, Brave Search generates summaries for about 17% of queries, and it is expected to grow rapidly with future updates.
