Microsoft’s Mobile Device Management Intune is an enterprise multiple devices for an organization where users have encountered multiple issues, including being unable to get connected to email and VPN services. These problems occurred after updating the Samsung device to Android 12.

Why? Samsung devices after the Android 12 update have problems with Microsoft Intune. Microsoft confirms and acknowledges the issue: apps that have been updated to OneUI 4.0 based on Android 12 lose access to the certificate required to run the app. Users received popup messages showing “can’t find server” in Gmail and “unable to find certificate” in AnyConnect VPN.

How to resolve the Gmail “Can’t find server” error?

Microsoft officially shared troubleshooting steps to fix the issue. For this, users need to reinstall the portal app, which will request a new certificate upon its launch.

How to fix the AnyConnect “Unable to find certificate” error on a Samsung device?

You need to request a new certificate to keep running the application. So let’s check it out.

  1. Open the device settings.
  2. Head over to your work profile.
  3. Go to apps, and then find AnyConnect VPN.
  4. Next, tap on Storage, and from there, clear the data and cache.
  5. That’s it.

So once you finish, you can manually request a new certificate. Microsoft and Samsung are working on patch updates. You can expect it to be fixed in the next update.
