Recently, Huawei sub-brand Honour launched its new smartphone in India. This device comes with lots of new features and the latest technology. Today we decided to compare the Honor 9X vs. Redmi Note 8 Pro vs. Realme 5 Pro camera, battery, display, price, and more specifications.

Performance

In terms of performance, it is powered by its own Kirin 710F SoC, which clocks at 2.0 GHz. This device comes with up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage onboard. Storage can be further increased to 256GB via a microSD card. It runs on the latest Android Pie with EMUI 9.1 out of the box.

Redmi 8 Pro is powered by the latest MediaTek G90T coupled with 6/8GB of RAM, UFS 2.1, and 128GB of onboard storage. It also offers a dedicated microSD card slot. 

Under the hood, the Realme 5 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm 10nm Snapdragon 712 SoC using an 8x Kryo 360 with a clock speed of 2.2 GHz. This leads to a higher performance score, and for the GPU, it is still the Adreno 616.

Camera

In terms of the camera, the Honour 9X triple rear camera setup uses a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, an 8MP secondary sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. At the front, there is a 16MP pop-up selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. Moreover, some other features of the camera support slow-motion video shooting and a super-night scene mode.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro has the same camera setup, with a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor as the primary sensor and an 8MP Ultra-Wide With a 120° + 2 MP Depth + 2 MP Macro with a focal length of 2 CM. While the front camera is a 20MP selfie shooter hidden inside a waterdrop notch, it also allows you to record a 960 fps slow-motion video.

The rear quad camera is equipped with a 48MP primary Sony IMX 586 sensor with an f/1.79 aperture, 8MP 119° wide-angle, 2MP depth, and a 2MP macro lens with 4CM shooting distance. For the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera with an F/2.0 lens.

Display 

The Honor 9X sports a 6.59-inch full-HD IPS LCD with 1080×2340 pixels resolution and 391ppi pixel density. There is an aspect ratio of 19:5:9 and an 87.5% screen-to-body mass ratio. While the Redmi Note 8 Pro has a 6.53-inch Full HD+ LTPS LCD with a 2340×1080 pixel resolution. Similarly, Waterdrop Notch helps to achieve a 91.4% screen-to-body ratio. The display panel is well protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Realme 5 Pro features a 6.3-inch (16.0 cm) Dew-Drop Notch Design IPS LCD Display with a 2340 x 1080 Pixel Resolution at 409 PPI. Which can go up to 450 units of maximum brightness, providing you with a 90.6% screen-to-body ratio alongside night mode for eye care. Which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3+.

Battery 

The Honor 9X has a 4,000mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging, while the Realme 5 Pro has a massive 4045mAh battery, which can run almost a day with a (4V@5V) 20W VOOC 3.0. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is packed with a massive 4500mAh battery using a Quick Charge 4.0+ fast charger bundled in the box.

Price

The Honor 9X starting price tag is Rs 13,999 for 4GB+64GB, while the 6GB+128GB variant is priced at Rs 16,999. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is priced at Rs 14,999 for 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The starting price tag for the Realme 5 Pro is Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant.

Sensors and connectivity

Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, scanner, gyro sensor, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, geomagnetic sensor, hall sensor, proximity sensor, and RGB light sensor. So, connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and Bluetooth 5.0.
