How to Install One UI 7 via ADB Sideload

Samsung will soon partner up with Android and release its own skin called One UI 7 with Android 15, the latest one. It would seem that only One UI 7, which itself is packed with the newest features, for example, the updated Quick Settings menu, enhanced notifications, and the Now bar making its first appearance ever, will be sufficient to keep the Samsung fans interested in the new version. Despite the beta version being in different stages of the roll-out process, it is still possible to manually instal it by using the ADB Sideload method. This guide is a simple set of instructions on how to update your Samsung device.

Prerequisites

Before you start, you have to make sure of the following:

  • Your device is in the AXK4 Bootloader version. You can check it by going to the menu: Settings > About Phone > Software Information.
  • Backup all your important data. Police should be aware that installing a beta firmware can cause data loss.
  • The PC that you have is running which window, macOS, or Linux.
  • All USB debuddling is turned on your Samsung device.

Step 1: Install Android SDK Platform Tools

The Android SDK Platform Tools are essential to which you need to connect your PC and your Samsung device.

  1. Download the Android SDK Platform Tools from the official Google site.
  2. Move the copied (ZIP) file that is extracted to your PC to a folder. You will use to this named folder platform-tools throughout the guide.

Step 2: Enable USB Debugging

USB Debugging is a mode that allows your PC to execute an ADB command on your device which lets it communicate with your device via a USB cable.

  • Go to Settings > About Phone > Software Information.
  • Tap Build Number seven times to enable Developer Options.
  • Go back to Settings > Developer Options.
  • Enable USB Debugging.

Step 3: Download the One UI 7 Beta OTA File

  • Download the correct One UI 7 Beta OTA file for your specific model from the following reliable sources: 
International Models:
• Galaxy S24 Ultra (SM-S928B):

  • Rename the file by updating the name to be update.zip.
  • Move it to the platform tools folder.

Step 4: Boot Samsung Device to Stock Recovery

  • You should link your Samsung device with your PC via a USB cable.
  • Open the platform-tools folder and in the folder’s address bar type cmd and press Enter to invoke the Command Prompt.
  • Then you can type in this command to restart your device into Recovery Mode:
    • adb reboot recovery
  • Press the Volume keys to select Apply Update via ADB and use the Power button to click on it.

Step 5: Install One UI 7 via ADB Sideload

After the installation process, your device should reboot. Use the command: ad rebootther assistance.

  • Be sure that the update.zip file is in the platform tools folder.
  • Run the following command in the Command Prompt window:
    • adb sideload update.zip
  • Wait until the installation process is completed. It could take a few minutes.
