Windows PCs are the most customizable devices in the world, where you can add or remove anything according to your needs. But before Windows 365, users shared Windows PCs. Whenever users share their devices with Frontiers or the backend team, they log in to each device individually. However, we have some third-party tools to match it, but the problem is that they are from a third party.
The Microsoft Build conference last month released 365 boot previews that enable users to directly access Cloud PCs at start-up instead of wasting time with additional installation. The most significant part about this preview is that you don’t need additional steps to install Windows 11. But even though it was officially released, some users still needed to learn how to use it. So, let’s look at this.
How to participate in the Windows 365 Boot public preview
Windows 365 is a cloud-based service from Microsoft that creates a cloud PC for your end users. The program allows you to access your PC without logging in as an individual user when working in a team or using a shared device. Windows 365 fills the gap between logging in for every end user and starting Windows 11 on every device. Microsoft 365 is developed to provide common understanding (a cloud PC) to deserving users.
Windows 365 has two editions: one is for enterprises, and the second is for organizations to meet user needs. But since it was initially released, many changes and things have been added to this program, which many of us don’t know about. So, let’s look at what’s new in Windows 365 and how we can participate to offer the most enjoyable experience ever.
A short path to a private network
At the initial stage, developers did not think that private network users would have to face a long-path issue in such situations. However, it has now been resolved with the latest patch. As developers introduced a short path for all private network holders, Meanwhile, Windows 365 users, even with private networks, can enjoy the same experience as usual network users.
New Move Cloud PC Policy
Before that policy, if the user wanted to move their devices, they would have to wait several hours for the process to be completed. But with the updated policy, things have become easier, as now all cloud PCs in the provisioning policy that no longer match the updated region or ANC will automatically shut down, and all such PCs will move to the updated region or ANC.
Admin Alert When Cloud PC Enters a Grace Period
A grace period is provided in the event of a connection that struggles with the last phase of the plan. A cloud PC needs a period to work. But before that, there was no alert. However, developers realized its need and arranged this alert so admins had enough time to return to normal instead of the grace period.
Other minor additions include a dark mode, multiple monitor adjustment settings, device management, the end-user experience, and more. So these are the things developers updated last week. Now that you’ve learned about Windows 365 and its new features, the next step is to learn how to use it. So, below, we share some instructions on how to use them.
Note: You should know that the Windows 365 preview build is available for Windows 11-based endpoints (Windows 11 Pro and Enterprise). Also, the user must have enrolled in the Windows Insider Programme (dev channel), Microsoft On Time administrator rights, and a Windows 365 Cloud PC license.
