Two years ago, WABetaInfo first reported on the UWP version of WhatsApp. The Windows Phone App is now available for download and use on Windows PCs, though it is still in beta testing.
What’s New in WhatsApp UWP?
- Based on UWP, XAML, and UIM Isca
- Material background
- Sketch image:
- Receive notifications in the background.
- (Last seen online, profile image)
- Manage Chats, Notifications, and Storage
- Automatically Downloaded Media (Photos, Videos, and Documents)
It comes with major visual changes and new features. Previously, the app used the instant-web version of WhatsApp, which lacked a lot of performance. WhatsApp’s latest version adds new features and is built on the XAML UI language and UMP.
Search Box and Chat Bubbles design elements continue to use sharp corners instead of rounded corners, which means they are likely to adopt the Windows 11 design language. Also, it doesn’t have dark-mode support or background notification ability while running. It also comes with UWP WhatsApp.
It also supports voice and video calls, even image sketching, and allows sharing over WhatsApp. Furthermore, privacy settings are available in WhatsApp UWP, as is automatic media downloading. You can download WhatsApp UWP.
