After the global launch of Snapchat+, Snap launched its paid subscription membership in India for Rs 49. The firm aimed to increase its revenues amid layoffs and slow growth globally. Snapchat has a net loss of $442 million. Premium subscriptions are available in the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
Features like pinning friends in chat, changing app icon, rewatching stories, and more are included in the Snapchat+ bundle. Snapchat+ users will receive the batch on their profile, and you can use the Ghost Trail, through which you can follow the trail of your friends on Snap Map if they have enabled you to share their locations.
India is one of the key markets; we have seen many companies launch their premium offerings at a low price compared to the global price, including Apple, Spotify, Netflix, Google, and more. The company has more than 105 million active users in India and 332 million users worldwide, and it has grown company revenue by over $5 million. Where it brings some beta features and exclusive perks, in the US, UK, and Canada, it is priced at $4 (Rs. 371.81) and launched back in late June.
