Recently, in India, we had a lot of powerful smartphones in the previous weeks. We have two competitors from the same parent company. Both devices are set to focus on the online segment with top-notch specs. Here we are talking about Realme XT and Vivo Z1x, taking further full comparison to help you decide which device is perfect for you.
Realme XT vs. Vivo Z1x Comparison: Problems you should know about before buying it.
First things first: the design of the device. The rear panel of the device is quite similar to each other, having a vertically left-side-aligned camera. While holding the device, it feels comfortable and premium as well. In case we have to pick a smartphone for design, I would pick the Realme XT because the edges are slightly curved, or, say, 3D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Also, during one-handed use, the Realme XT feels more comfortable.
Both devices have different colours from each other. It’s up to you what you want to purchase. The deciding factor could be a dedicated microSD card slot, which only Realme XT provides. Additionally, Realme XT and Vivo Z1x both have UFS 2.1. In terms of screen protection, Realme XT uses Corning Gorilla Glass, and Vivo Z1x uses Schott Sensation 3D glass. We suggest you use a cover case for long-term use.
The display on both smartphones is slightly the same because both have a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch on top. The colour reproduction, colour calibration, and support for Widevine L1 for HD streaming content. On the other hand, we slightly felt that the Realme XT had more narrow bezels thanks to the Mini Drop Notch. Even the biometric flash in-display fingerprint sensor works faster alongside the Face Unlock Done by Selfie sensor.
The speaker grills are also unnoticeable; we are not able to make a difference. The speaker is average in terms of sound reproduction quality. In terms of performance, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC coupled with an Octa-Core @2.3GHz and an Adreno 616 GPU coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4X and 128GB of UFS 2.1 onboard storage. It means you can run the PUBGM game at 30 FPS easily. Overall, app launches and closings are almost the same.
In terms of camera performance, the difference comes here. Realme used a quad camera setup. Instead, the Vivo Z1x uses a triple rear camera setup under the hood. Vivo Z1x has a rear 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, and Realme XT has a rear 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW1 primary sensor. Additionally, Realme XT has a 2MP macro lens.
On the front, Realme XT has a 16MP selfie shooter, while Vivo Z1x has a 32MP selfie shooter. Not to mention, the camera quality is quite similar, but the details are great in Realme XT. We felt like the nightscape mode in Vivo Z1x was better with details, and portraits and selfies were better in Vivo Z1x because of the 32MP selfie.
Talking about the battery, there is not much difference. Both devices pack a fast charger, hence the Realme XT Bundled 20W VOOC 3.0 Fast Charger and Vivo Z1x Bundled 22.5W Dual Engine Charger, along with Type-C on both devices. However, the Vivo Z1x packs a massive 5000mAh battery instead of the Realme XT’s 4000mAh battery. On the software front, both devices run on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with custom skins. According to us, you can’t go wrong with any of these.
