Realme is officially rolling out media invitations for the Realme 2 Pro, which will launch on September 27. This was confirmed by Madhav Sheth, the CEO of Realme. The media invitation reads, “We are back 2 surprises you.” The “2,” “Pr,” and “o” characters in the teaser come in red, which shows that a red color variant will be available for the Realme 2 Pro.

According to rumors from Gizmochina, the Realme 2 Pro will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with 6GB and 4GB RAM variants, which will give an impressive performance with Adreno 506 GPU. It will also have a long-lasting 4230mAh battery and measure 156.2×75.6×8.2mm, which will last for almost two days.

The Realme 2 Pro will have a 6.2-inch IPS full HD+ 360 nits display (1520 x 720 resolution) with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 88.8% screen-to-body ratio, along with an iPhone-style notch. It will have 13MP f/2.2 +2MP f/2.2 aperture dual rear cameras with an 8MP f/2.2 aperture selfie shooter. It will come with beautification 2.0, HDR, portrait mode, and face recognition for face unlock. In addition to face recognition, it will have a fingerprint scanner on the back, which was missing on the Realme 1.

The Realme 2 Pro will come with Android 8.1 Oreo, including its heavily customized user interface ColorOS 5.1. It will also support OTG and a 3.5mm audio jack. In terms of storage, it will have 64GB and 128GB onboard storage, and will include all basic sensors and hardware support. The Realme 2 Pro is quietly higher than the Realme 2, but lesser than the competitive market price. Therefore, this phone is supposed to have an aggressive price point of $150 to $200.

Hold your breath and wait for the Realme 2 Pro to launch on September 27. We think it will be an interesting smartphone considering the launch price point. If this phone includes the Mediatek Helio processor, it could be the best smartphone in the budget flagship smartphone category.
