  3. Enter the following command: “sfc /scannow”
  4. The repair process takes several minutes to complete.

Note: Do not close the Command Prompt until verification is 100% complete.

Solution 2: Fix corrupt files by using the DIMS tool

DIMS stands for Deployment Image Servicing and Management.

  1. Open “Start” and search “cmd” (or “Press Win key+S and search “cmd”).
  2. Right click on “Command Prompt,” then “Open and Run as Administrator.”
  3. Type the “following command”, and then “press Enter”. DISM.exe/Online/Cleanup-Image/RestoreHealth 
  4. The repair process takes several minutes to complete.
  5. After the DISM tool repairs your files, restart your PC.”

Fix corrupt files with System Restore

  1. Press “Windows Key + S” and enter Search and “system m restore.” Choose the “Create a restore point” option.
  2. Now click the “System Restore” button.
  3. A dialogue box appears on the screen, then “Click Next.”
  4. Check “Show more restore points.”
  5. “Select the available restore point” and click “Next.”
  6. Follow the instructions to perform the restore.

After your PC is restored, system files should be restored to the previous healthy version.

Fix corrupt files by resetting Windows 10. 

  1. Open “Settings” in Windows 10 (or “Press Win Key + I”).
  2. Then click “Update & Security>Recovery.”
  3. Click the “Restart button” (for the “Advanced option”).
