The only thing that can ruin a perfectly sane mind is digital brightness. Besides being visually irritating, high levels of screen brightness can be quite mentally agitating as well. The good news is that we can always reduce the screen’s brightness. Reducing brightness also results in a reduction in consumable content quality. As a result, the process becomes counterproductive.
How is it possible to have optimal levels of brightness without blinding our eyes and minds? Our answer is yes! Nightlight saves the day! In addition to improving your digital experience, you will also be able to relax your eyes with this feature running in the background. The new Windows 11 offers the saving grace of nightlight. Here’s how to use it.
On Windows 11, how to enable night light

How to Change Night Light Warmth in Windows 11
- Your Windows 11 device is now using Night Light. The screen will be tinted warmly like a pale yellow sheet, indicating this is active.
- It doesn’t matter if the amount of warmth on your screen does not meet your requirements once the night light is on. You can always adjust the nightlight’s warmth! You can do it that way.
- Click anywhere on the ‘Night Light’ option on the same page as System Display Settings. You will now see the ‘Night Light’ Display Settings page, which has three sections. On the ‘Strength’ page, there is a toggle toggling from left to right between 1 and 100. This toggle gets warmer as you move it closer to 100.
How to Schedule Night Lights on Windows 11
The process of activating this feature each time can be monotonous and time-consuming if you’re a regular nightlight user. You can schedule the night light to save time and improve workflow! Once scheduled, this feature will automatically activate at the set time.
- You can schedule the night light by clicking on the ‘Schedule Night Light’ option on the same ‘Night Light’ settings page. Turn the toggle to ‘ON’.
- Two options are available for scheduling the nightlight. One is a default setting based on your location, and the other can be customized. First, it would be automatically set between sunrise and sunset, essentially taking over nighttime.
- The nightlight hours can be customized by selecting the ‘Set Hours’ option if you do not prefer automated scheduling. In the ‘Set Hours’ option, two rows appear: “Turn on” and “Turn off”. You can use the first one to turn on the night light and the second to turn it off. Click on the time boxes to change the scheduling time.
- The timing pop-up will open when you click on the time box. Choosing hourly and minute schedules is here for your convenience! If you prefer, you can change the default AM and PM structures. In the pop-up, click the checkmark.
- Now, you can schedule your nightlight according to your convenience.
Night light is extremely helpful, especially for eyes with sensitive vision. The softness of the nightlight reduces eye strain. It emits less blue light and warms the screen so that harsh screen light or brightness is reduced. The night light also helps the user sleep better. Screen light exposure can disrupt sleep patterns, which can be balanced to a certain extent with a night light.
