Developers have started developing their version of TWRP for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. TWRP is one of the top-level recovery solutions for smartphones. XDA-Developer Senior Member afaneh92 released the TWRP build for the Galaxy S23 Ultra (SM-S918B).
Where he uses the stock kernel, however, Samsung hasn’t released the kernel yet, and because of this, developers can’t dig into the functionalities of the device’s codebase. However, TWRP (Team Win Recovery Project) is functional, and this year Samsung is only shipping the Qualcomm version, which makes it a good offering. Because of this, you don’t have to deal with two separate TWRP builds.
Download Galaxy S23 Ultra Unofficial TWRP
You can download the unofficial TWRP for the Galaxy S23 Ultra from the button below.
Before you begin, you must check the installation instructions so you don’t break your device or avoid getting into a boot loop or any other similar issues. It’s worth mentioning that if you proceed with this, it will void your warranty even if you try to reverse it since it trips the Knox warranty and disables the subsequent OTA update.
Samsung has yet to release the kernel codebase, and for now, the unofficial TWRP is only compatible with the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Do note that there is no support for handling the encryption routine, and you can only read or write the EROFS-formatted partition. However, other functionalities are working just fine, as they should be expected to.
