- Open Microsoft Fix It
- Microsoft Fix can potentially fix the error that blocks the program from being installed or removed.
- Download Troubleshooter
- Here are the following errors that will be fixed:
- Corrupt registry keys on 64-bit operating systems.
- Corrupt registry keys that control updated data.
- Prevent new programs from being installed.
- Prevent existing programs from being completely uninstalled or updated.
- Block you from uninstalling a program through Add or Remove Programmes (or Programmes and Features) in the Control Panel.
- Download and run Microsoft Fix It.
- Then, follow the on-screen wizard instructions to fix Error Code 1603 and Error Code 0x00000643.
- That’s it.
You can’t install Chrome because you’re in S mode.
If you have enabled S Mode, then you need to switch out of S on your computer. Windows 10 has S Mode, which is primarily designed for security and performance, where you can execute apps only from the Microsoft Store.
How to switch out of S Mode in Windows 10
- Open Windows Settings.
- Head over to Update & Security.
- Click on Activation.
- Look for Switch to Windows 10 Home or Switch to Windows 10 Pro.
- Now, go to Store and then click on Switch out of S Mode.
- Similarly, you can also find the page on the Microsoft Store.
- Click on Get, and that’s it.
You will now be able to install the app outside of the Microsoft Store. After this, download the installation file. Run the file, and then start installing by following the on-screen wizard so far.
I can’t find the installer application on Windows.
- Open the Windows Run dialogue box.
- Enter “regedit” and hit enter.
- Now, it opens the Registry Editor and then opens the following address:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Google\Update\Clients.
- Alternative: if you didn’t find it, then use this address.
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Google\Update\Clients.
- Then, right-click on 430FD4D0-B729-4F61-AA34-91526481799D.
- Delete that file and quit the Registry Editor.
- Now, try again by installing Chrome.
Stop GoogleCrashHandler.exe from running on Windows.
GoogleCrashHandler.exe was used to send the crash report to Google Developers. Where it always runs in the background. You can disable GoogleCrashHandle.exe, which turns off the sending of usage statistics to your computer.
Installation failed because your version of Windows is not supported.
