How to Enable Google Docs Dark Mode

But still, users are facing issues enabling dark mode. In response to this, we have prepared a set of steps for mainly two platforms: Android and Windows. Google Docs’ Android and iOS applications have the same navigation and settings. So, without any further discussion, let’s have a look at the steps for each platform.
For Android
- To begin, first launch the Google Docs app.
- Then, tap on the three horizontal lines (Burger Menu) option appearing in the top left corner.
- Now, tap on Settings in it.
- Afterwards, tap on Choose Theme and select Dark.
- Following this, your whole Google Docs app will transform into dark mode.
For Windows
Note: The Google Docs PC version does not officially support dark modes. But, still, you can do so with the help of a third-party extension.
- Firstly, launch Google Chrome on your PC.
- Then, navigate to the Google Docs Dark Mode extension’s page.
- Now, click on Add to Chrome.
- As a result, a pop-up will appear on your screen.
- Then, click the Add Extension button in the pop-up window.
- Following this, the given extensions (Google Docs Dark Mode, Chrome Web Store) will be downloaded and installed.
- That’s it. Your Google Docs on PC will automatically enable dark mode.
