The Google Play Store is the only store to download applications dedicated to specific purposes for Android devices. If we want a health tracker app, we can easily navigate and install it on the Google Play Store. However, the Google Play Store is wide enough to look for new applications. But sometimes it becomes hard to choose the best one.
Because of such concerns, Google had earlier added a category tab. But it becomes difficult to get new apps, especially for Android TVs, smartwatches, and cars. Luckily, Google has recently updated the Google Play Store and added the “Other device” label. But what exactly was done? To avoid further delay, just take a look below.
Now, download Google Apps remotely from your Android phone.
In the recent update, Google thought of and initiated a new change that will take care of every Android device. More likely, the earlier Google Play Store mostly showed applications for Android phones and tablets. At that time, finding certain apps for Android TVs, smartwatches, and Android Auto became a task.
Keeping that view in mind, the Google Play Store updated itself. It provided a new feature that makes downloading apps on Android TVs, smartwatches, and Android Auto easier. There are three updates: “new specific search filter,” “new section in the Android app dedicated to devices except phones,” and “Remotely install the app from your Phone.”
Google is now trying to build a robust Android ecosystem. For this, they added a new homepage for non-phone Android users. Here, you’ll see a new category, “other devices.” Under other devices, you will get suggestions such as a watch, TV, or car. Additionally, you can look for certain Android TVs and watches.
Currently, some specific Android TVs and smartwatches are listed on them. It includes the Samsung Galaxy Watch, Nvidia Shield Android TV, Volvo PoleStar 2, and more. So, using such search filters, you can easily choose the application that supports your Android device. We know Google works more advanced, and it’s true.
Along with the feature to find applications for non-phone Android devices, the Google Play Store can install apps remotely from your phone. Meanwhile, when you tap the install button on your phone, the Google Play Store will show you other Android devices. It shows options for a smartwatch, this device, and a TV.
Accordingly, you can mark up the option on which Android device you want such an app. Further tapping the install button will allow the app to be installed on the selected devices. So, in such a way, you can install any app remotely from your device on any non-Android device. Apart from that, everything is the same as in the previous update.
