Valve’s Steam decks are popular among gamers. A lot of players are wondering if they can play Apex Legends on their Steam deck or not. Apex Legends was initially available to play, but due to the Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) system, it was reversed. Now, after resolving the anti-cheat compatibility issue, Apex Legends is officially playable on the Steam Deck.

Apex Legends, the popular first-person battle royale shooter, is now playable on the Steam Deck. Check out the short video on Twitter shared by Cary Golomb. It seems smooth after polishing and testing the game’s compatibility. Players can expect other popular first-person shooter battle-royale games like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Destiny 2, and Rainbow Six Siege to be supported once Valve finishes testing compatibility with these games.

According to reports, the game was previously incompatible, and players were unable to run Apex Legends with pre-installed SteamOS because the anti-cheat software didn’t allow them to activate the Steam Deck’s Linux-based subsystem operating software. However, the problem has been resolved, and now players can try playing Apex Legends on their Steam Deck.

Respawn Entertainment uses the Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) system, and Apex Legends is available on all major platforms, including PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles. As of now, the game is officially listed on Steam as being supported on the Steam Deck. There are a lot of games that require specific requirements, like Destiny 2, which requires you to have Windows on your Steam deck.
