Windows has an Administrative tab within the Region and Language settings. You can enable or disable it based on your preferences. While it does not have many useful features, some users want to disable or hide the Administrative Tab, and this option is enabled by default.

We do not recommend you make changes to the Administrative Tab if you do not have basic troubleshooting knowledge or have not been aware of it. Today, we are going to share a bit of knowledge to guide you step-by-step.

Hide the Administrative Tab in Regional and Language Settings.

This is quite easy to perform, hence hiding the administrative tab. There are multiple ways to perform. So without further ado, let’s check this out.

From the Group Policy Editor

The Group Policy Editor consists of a high-aspect Windows OS. You can remove the Administrative tab from Regional and Language Settings. Follow the instructions mentioned below.

  • Open the Windows Run Dialog Tab, using Windows + R.
  • Enter gpedit.msc and hit enter.
  • Navigate to the left panel. Use the user configuration option to expand.
  • Now, from the Administrative Templates, expand further options.
  • Click on the Control Panel to expand the section.
  • From there, select the “Regional and Language” option.
  • Double-click to open the “Hide Regional and Language” option.
  • From that window, change the value of Not Configured to Enabled.
  • That is it.

Using Regedit

If the above-mentioned method does not guide you, then you can use the registry method. Here are the described instructions.

  • Open CMD (Command Prompt). You can open CMD from the Run Command by executing it.
  • Then, enter.
    • echo 0 >> test.reg
    • Notepad test. reg
  • Then, it opens Notepad, removes the complete text, and replaces it with the following text:
    • Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Control Panel\International]

“HideAdminOptions”=-

  • That’s it. Save the file, and then open the Run Dialog Box.
  • Enter the “.” and hit enter.
  • It will open the folder, and there you can find a new folder.
  • Next, double-click to open it, and then click on this window.
  • Click Apply, and then hit OK to save all changes.
  • That is it.

Hopefully, this guide helps you remove or hide the Administrative Tab from Region and Language Settings. However, editing the Group Policy Editor, was easier on the Windows Pro version.
